Kofi Annan is our friend in China. As secretary-general of the United Nations, Annan has met with Chinese dignitaries. He also visited China by himself for many times. He have been to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.
In October 2009, Annan attended the 30th anniversary of the permanent mission of the United Nations system to China and the 64th United Nations day celebration in Beijing.
In November 2015, Annan attended the global development BBS of China's small and medium-sized enterprises (smes) held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, and discussed issues such as the importance of sustainable economic development in "One Belt And One Road".
